Last week, Windsong received two Silver Awards as part of the National Association of Home Builders’ (NAHB) Best of 55+ Awards program, recognizing its commitment to developing successful communities full of innovative, well-designed homes that appeal to active adults.
Distributed annually during its International Builders Show, the NAHB’s Best of 55+ Awards commemorate exceptional housing industry leadership and showcase the emerging trends shaping livability and quality of life for the mature adult demographic. The NAHB announced its Gold and Silver company and individual winners across more than 40 development, architecture, universal design and aging-in-place, marketing, interior design and lifestyle categories during a February 19 ceremony.
Two Windsong home plans captured Silver Awards in the program’s “Built Awards” categories, which celebrate groundbreaking architectural design and interior and exterior appeal. At Serenade – The Carson model earned accolades in the “55+ Housing: Detached Home, 2,501-3,000 square ft.” category, while at Bel-Aire Creekside – The Emerson model captured the Silver prize among “55+ Housing: Detached Home, 2,001-2,500 square ft.” candidates.
“Our company prides itself on not simply building houses, but rather on designing communities and floor plans where all of our homeowners feel comfortable in homes that fit their needs and personalities,” said Carrie Roeger, Chief Operations Officer at Windsong Properties. “The NAHB Best of 55+ Housing Awards are a testament to our team’s hard work, brilliant design and relationship-building, and we are humbled and thrilled to be honored as a leader alongside some of the industry’s most renowned developers, builders and marketers.”
The NAHB Best of 55+ Awards distinction extends the industry leadership momentum Windsong Properties carried into the New Year. In November 2018, Windsong Properties received four Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association (GAHBA) OBIE Awards for its personalized, homeowner-friendly design and building approach.
