From the perspective of Rick and Sue Johnson at Windsong Manor When it became clear that neither of our children would be returning to Colorado to live in the near future, the solution was clear; it was time for us to relocate! Our son and daughter-in-law, who live in Villa Rica, were expecting their first baby, Isabella. We wanted to be more active in her life than we had been able to be with our 16-year-old grandson, Parker, who lived out of state. Since our daughter and grandson live in Asheville, NC, we have already been able to attend some of Parker’s ball games. We are thrilled to be so much closer to them all; it’s a dream come true! Windsong Manor’s ranch homes with terraces, larger lots and open floor plans suited our needs perfectly. Initially we thought we were ready for a single-level home, but it turned out we weren’t quite there yet. The finished basement has been handy in many ways; we have additional space for entertaining with a great room and kitchenette down there and “sprawl space" for temporary projects. Also having moved from out of state, we have guests that come and stay several days, and the terrace level offers them a private retreat. This home was designed well for life’s changing situations — now and later. We can easily live all on the main level, yet there’s room for a caretaker if needed in the future on the lower level. We moved in this summer and were delighted to be able to take our granddaughter, Isabella to play at the pool at the Seven Hills Park. It was such a delight to be there to witness her crawl for the first time in the zero-entry pool and play area. The park is a wonderful place for family fun and offers many amenities we look forward to using. Finding a “community" was really important to us and we thoroughly enjoy our community of new friends here at Windsong Manor. It was important to us to live in an area where the landscape was maintenance free and there were like-minded people in the same stage of life. We found that the residents here have similar values, which made it easier to get acquainted. Our new community is fun-loving and enjoys socializing. We enjoy an active lifestyle and look forward to exploring the eastern part of the US; this house and location make that ideal. We like that this area is growing and has the conveniences of a Publix and CVS just a couple miles away. Since we are both golfers, having the Bentwater Golf Course a short drive away has also been wonderful. When we travel, we can easily lock and leave. When we are home, the pines along the back are a touch of Colorado we’ll always have. Building a home while living a thousand miles away could have been terribly worrisome. But from the very beginning we felt confident that we were in good hands with the Windsong team of professionals to build us a quality home. We were in frequent contact with our builder, Brian, who was responsive to our questions. He kept the process flowing smoothly and made building from so far away easier for us. We also appreciated his expertise and many times relied on his recommendations, to our satisfaction. In addition, the finisher, Jeb, was amazing with his attention to detail; we couldn’t have asked for anyone better. We absolutely love our home and this community. At Windsong Manor, Life Really is a Breeze!
