Five or six years ago we started looking to get out of our 3,000 SF traditional home. We wanted to stay in Cobb, preferably West Cobb, but at that time we couldn't find what we wanted. The goal was to downsize into a single level home that I could take care of myself; I didn't want to have to rely on help cleaning or cutting the grass or live in something attached and noisy. We also needed a situation where we could comfortably lock up and leave for 6 months at a time - and we found it at Bel-Aire. We travel a lot and spend time at our other place in Florida and wanted something low maintenance with a community of people that look out for one another. We have been delighted with the people here and our neighbors have common interests that make for fast friendships; we love our families, traveling, giving back and spending time with one another. The residents here have a mantra, "Less is More!" We delight in the simple things like taking walks and stopping to chat with friends in our peaceful community; we also look forward to participating in the activities and fellowship that take place at the beautiful clubhouse. We learned about Windsong's community in Dallas and really loved the house plans with private courtyards, the open layouts and that lawn care was included. That location wasn't a good fit for us because we are active in our church and with our children and grandchildren and wanted to stay close. Our son lives in Acworth and our daughter is two miles away and we enjoy being near them. We loved the location of this community when we found it years ago, but it was coming to a halt due to the housing decline. A while later we noticed a sign that Windsong was going to build out the community and we got excited. Kris Johnson had been in contact with us from our first meeting years ago and she was keeping an eye out for our perfect location. She was so helpful and pleasant; she made this transition easy and we are grateful that she never forgot about us. We felt confident that Windsong would build us the perfect home as the whole team displayed a genuine concern in our happiness. From the first moment dealing with Kris and the Windsong team, they made us feel like we were part of their family and have since done everything in their power to make this a great experience. Moving to Bel-Aire and working with Windsong on this home has been the best decision we have EVER made! Our beautifully designed courtyard makes us feel like we are stepping out into our own private resort with the soothing sounds of the waterfall and the nature that surrounds us keeps us relaxed and joyful.
