The 10th Anniversary is traditionally celebrated with gifts of tin or aluminum (modern gifts are diamond jewelry), but Windsong Properties celebrated 10 years with GOLD—and 1,000 pounds of FOOD! On Saturday, November 2, 2013, Windsong Properties took home the Gold Award for the Stratton home plan in Windsong's Bel-Aire community, at the 2013 Obie Awards, presented by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association's Sales & Marketing Council. The Obie Awards recognize excellence in the homebuilding industry. Windsong Properties also held its annual Anniversary Celebration on Friday, November 8, 2013, at the Bentley Model home at Windsong Manor in the Seven Hills community in Dallas, Georgia. Attendees were asked to bring a donation of a non-perishable food item to support MUST Ministries food pantry, and guests responded in grand style, donating more than 1,000 pounds of food! Throughout this tenth year of building luxury ranch homes for Active Adults in North Metro Atlanta, Windsong celebrated other milestones as well, including the sale and completion of the final homes in the Garden Street community in Downtown Woodstock; construction began on the Clubhouse in Windsong's Bel-Aire community in Powder Springs; and construction began on Windsong's newest community, Heron Pond, on Highway 92 in Woodstock, which will feature 75 sought-after courtyard homes. Notable achievements also included hiring six new employees, each of whom espouses Windsong's strict policy of superior customer service and quality construction. And several Windsong alumni were promoted and have exceeded the expectations of their new positions within the company: Carrie Roeger was promoted from Marketing Manager to Operations Manager; Mike Lust was promoted from CAD Operator to Sales Manager; and Brian Alcott was promoted from Customer Service Representative to Customer Service Manager. In addition, Sharon Williams is now Windsong's full-time Controller. At Windsong, we take pride in building luxury ranch homes with the features Active Adults desire: inviting front porches, flexible spaces with ample natural light, private courtyards to enjoy the outdoors, and lots of opportunities to meet neighbors and become involved in the community. And we appreciate the opportunity to shine—in Obie Gold, and in the smiling faces of those whom we are able to assist—thanks to the homeowners, community leaders, and others, who allow us to continue to say, Welcome To Windsong—Where Life's A Breeze!
