Mark Carruth

Chief Executive Officer

Windsong Properties’ Chief Executive Office Mark Carruth is a pioneer in Atlanta’s active adult homebuilding industry. A third-generation homebuilder with over four decades of experience in the homebuilding industry, Mark’s own experience as an empty-nester ignited his passion for building communities of enduring value for the market segment. He co-founded Windsong Properties in 2003 with Steve Romeyn.

Windsong has gained recognition for homes that are both practical and luxurious, incorporating universal design with distinctive style to accommodate an active lifestyle and accessibility for aging in place. For nearly 20 years, Mark has been part of the team creating the award-winning Windsong communities of Heron Pond, McConnell Green, Encore, Grace and many more. Today, his vision and approach for sustained growth continues with new Windsong communities like Marlowe and Echols Farm.

Windsong fosters a people-centric culture with the mission of improving the quality of life for his team of employees, trusted trade partners and homebuyers. The tenured leadership team’s passion for the mission is demonstrated in Windsong communities thru every homeowner experience.

Mark and his wife of 41 years have two adult children and four grandchildren in the Roswell area, where he has been a longtime resident.
