A recent Bloomberg article explained that a rebound in the home building industry after a six-year slump should generate as many as 500,000 jobs in 2013 and 700,000 in 2014. Windsong Properties, a popular active adult home builder, is helping contribute to these numbers. In April, the builder hired Michael Lust to serve as its new sales manager. “Michael will be responsible for motivating, supporting and managing the Windsong sales team," stated Steve Romeyn, co-owner of Windsong Properties. “He will be instrumental in helping our company achieve our sales targets and goals. We are honored to have him as part of our team." Prior to entering the home building industry 20 years ago, Lust graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in business administration and worked in sales management in corporate America. He used this experience while working as the director of sales and marketing for Donny Brook Homes in Marietta. Lust was also the president of The L.L. Michael Company from 1991-2000, a custom builder in Wisconsin, and Rayman Homes, a semi-custom builder in the West Cobb area, from 2006 to 2008. “Windsong Properties is made up of great people," said Lust. “Having worked with both owners, Steve and Mark, for several years, I was already familiar with their management styles and their excellent reputation as quality builders. After the first couple of weeks, I have also come to know and respect the commitment and effort of the entire Windsong team to deliver high quality homes and make satisfied customers." Lust’s favorite features of Windsong’s ranch homes are the open floor plans, quality outdoor spaces and overall attention to detail. Windsong Properties is building at Bel-Aire in Powder Springs, Garden Street in Woodstock and Windsong at Seven Hills and Windsong at Seven Hills II. Prices start from $200,000s. A long time “cheese head", Lust grew up in Wisconsin. He currently resides in Woodstock and has four adult children.
