Housing starts are rising this year, becoming a real source of strength in our economy. According to a recent Bloomberg article, featuring Windsong Properties, the industry is hiring more employees each month. In fact, the active adult home builder has just hired a new estimator. Scott Roark joined the team on April, 8, 2013. Roark is responsible for preparing and maintaining accurate take-off estimates for all new and existing plans, estimating all option and non-specific option pricing generated by the sales department, ensuring trade partners are on formal agreements in all pricing and working directly with superintendents to update and maintain scopes of work. “Scott will help us find more ways to make homes an even better value than they already are," stated Steve Romeyn, co-owner of Windsong Properties. “With his extensive experience in the home building industry, he can effectively do just that." A graduate of Gwinnett Tech and veteran of the Navy, Roark has worked for builders such as Beazer Homes and Comstock Homes. He has served in various roles including sales, customer service and purchasing. “I love the team environment at Windsong Properties," explained Roark. “I appreciate that the company’s top priority is customer satisfaction and I am looking forward to helping them deliver top quality homes at an affordable price." Currently, Roark resides in Johns Creek with his wife and two children. He enjoys spending time with his family, watching his kids grow and rooting for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team.
