A Windsong Original poem
Fresh-brewed coffee in a great big mug
Its scent envelops me like an aromatic hug
The sunrise through the windows gives my heart a tug
I have so many reasons to smile.
Wide, welcoming courtyard entices me outside
Blooms on every one of the new plants I’ve tried
I take in their beauty and happily sigh
I have so many reasons to smile.
On the front porch I sit after my morning walk
Friendly neighbors wave, and stop for a talk
Visits so pleasant we don’t watch the clock
I have so many reasons to smile.
Day-trips are easy; the highway is close
As are restaurants and shops, where everyone goes
Landscaping maintenance is done by the pros
I have so many reasons to smile.
Inside my house, luxury abounds
I’m close to my neighbors but don’t hear a sound
What a treasure this is, my dream home I’ve found
I have so many reasons to smile.
In summer, I enjoy inviting outdoor spaces
Alone, or with new friends and smiling faces
In winter, we enjoy elegant gas-log fireplaces
Oh, so many reasons to smile.
Quality homes, home-sweet-home neighborhoods
I feel more peaceful than I ever thought I could
In this place full of smiles, living life with ease
